Privacy policy

Effective October 22, 2026 · Onda Voiceworks · Los Angeles, CA

In short

  • This website has no analytics, advertising cookies or tracking.
  • We use what you send us to reply, to plan projects and, for performers, to cast.
  • We never sell your information.
  • We never use a performer’s demo to train AI or create a synthetic voice. Your voice is only recorded or licensed under a separate agreement you sign.
  • You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time.

01 Who we are

Onda Voiceworks (“Onda”, “we”, “us”) casts, records and licenses voice‑over for AI products. We’re based in Los Angeles, California, and we work with clients and voice performers around the world.

This policy explains how we handle personal information from three groups of people:

  • people who visit this website;
  • clients and prospective clients who contact us about a project;
  • voice performers who apply to, or are part of, our talent roster.

Recordings made for a specific project are covered by the written agreement the performer signs for that project. That agreement sets out how the recording may be used, by whom and for how long. Where that agreement and this policy differ, the agreement applies to those recordings.

02 What we collect

When you visit the website

We don’t use analytics, advertising cookies or tracking tools, and we host our own fonts so your browser doesn’t contact third parties to load them. Like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These logs are used only to run and secure the site.

When you contact us about a project

Your name, work email, company and your message, plus anything else you choose to share in later conversations, such as project requirements.

When you apply to, or join, our talent roster

  • Contact details, such as your name, email and the country or region you work from.
  • Professional information, such as the languages and accents you perform, your experience and links to your reel or website.
  • Demos and other audio samples you send us.
  • Casting notes we make about your voice and suitability for projects.
  • Our correspondence with you.

If you’re booked for a project, we also collect what’s needed to contract and pay you, such as your legal name, payment details and tax forms. We don’t ask for sensitive information such as health details, and we ask you not to send it.

03 How we use it

  • To reply to enquiries, scope projects and prepare proposals.
  • To cast projects: reviewing demos, matching performers to projects and contacting performers about auditions and bookings.
  • To run projects, including contracts, payments and the consent records that make our data auditable.
  • To keep the website and our accounts secure.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, and to establish or defend legal claims.

We don’t use your information for advertising, and we don’t add you to marketing lists. We may email roster performers about casting opportunities, and you can ask us to stop at any time.

For visitors in the EU, EEA and UK. We rely on these legal bases:

  • our legitimate interests in replying to enquiries and running a casting roster;
  • steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and performing that contract;
  • your consent, for demos you submit, which you can withdraw at any time;
  • compliance with our legal obligations.

04 Performers’ demos

Your demos contain your voice, so we treat them with extra care. We use them only to consider you for casting.

Before we put your demo forward to a client, we’ll tell you about the project and ask if you’re interested. Clients who hear your demo may use it only to make a casting decision.

We will never:

  • sell your demos or personal information;
  • use your demos to train AI models, or let anyone else do so;
  • use your demos to create a synthetic voice, voice clone or voiceprint;
  • publish your demos without your permission;
  • record or license your voice for any project without a separate written agreement that you sign.

05 Who we share it with

  • Service providers that help us run Onda, such as email, file storage, website hosting, our contact-form service (Formspree) and accounting. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
  • Clients, for casting, as described in section 04, and for booked projects, as set out in the performer’s agreement.
  • Specialists who work on a project with us, such as engineers, directors and editors, under confidentiality obligations, and only what they need for that project.
  • Professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.
  • A successor business, if Onda is merged or acquired. This policy would continue to protect your information.

We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t share it for cross‑context behavioural advertising.

06 How long we keep it

We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above:

Project enquiries that don’t go ahead
Kept so we can pick up the conversation later, until you ask us to delete them.
Client records
For the length of the relationship. Contracts and invoices are then kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Roster applications, profiles and demos
Kept on file so we can consider you for future projects, until you ask us to remove them. We may also remove material that’s no longer useful for casting.
Leaving the roster
Email us at any time and we’ll delete your demos and profile within 30 days.
Consent records for project recordings
As long as the recording is licensed, plus the period needed to resolve any claims. That’s what makes the data auditable.
Backups
Deleted information drops out of our backups within 90 days.

When we delete your information, we may keep a minimal record, your name, email and the date, so that we honour your request and don’t contact you again.

07 Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what information we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct it;
  • delete it, including withdrawing your demos;
  • stop using it for a particular purpose, such as casting emails;
  • move it to you or another service in a common format.

Email hello@ondavoiceworks.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. We reply within 30 days, and we won’t treat you differently for using these rights.

Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as California’s CCPA, the EU and UK GDPR, Canada’s PIPEDA and Brazil’s LGPD may give you further rights. You may also complain to your local data protection authority, although we’d like the chance to help first.

Because we don’t track visitors, there’s nothing for a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off. We honour these signals anyway.

08 International transfers

Onda is based in the United States, and our service providers may store information in the United States or other countries. When we transfer personal information from the EU, EEA, UK or other places with transfer rules, we use the safeguards those laws require, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

09 Security

We limit access to people who need the information for their work. We use reputable providers that encrypt data in transit and at rest, and we protect our accounts with two‑factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we’ll tell you, and the authorities where required, as the law requires.

10 Children and changes

This website isn’t meant for children. Our talent roster is open to performers aged 18 and over, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we handle performers’ demos or information, we’ll email roster performers before it takes effect.
